Please forgive me posting this here; it's the only DOORS forum that's had anyone on it today. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm trying to help someone do a link-by-attribute and seeing something I can't explain. When we get to the screen where you select target module, link module, and attribute you want to use, the attribute we want to use isn't in the list of selectables. Why is that?
Please be nice; I haven't worked with DOORS in over a year and this request for help came from way out of left field. tlwtheq - Wed Sep 17 13:21:42 EDT 2014 |
Re: Link by Attribute Hello Tara,
This form shows all attributes of type "Text" that exist for Objects. I assume the attribute you want to use is of type integer or string. You can create a new attribute and move the values with the script Tools -> Functions -> Copy Attributes.
Hope this helps, |

Hope this helps, You know what, Mike? You're right. I haven't even gone back to the user to show him and see it worked and I know you're right. I had told him to use an integer for the field. It just goes to show you how much you can forget about a tool after not using it for over a year. Thanks for the help. Tara Wilk Tara.Wilk@noaa.gov |
